- In ancient times, there was a Chakravarti emperor named Bharat who was considered to be the lord of all four directions. It is believed that India was named after him.
- The most popular thing is that in Ramayana, the name Bharat was named after Bharat, the son of King Dasharatha and the younger brother of Lord Ram.
