How bad we feel when no one knows our name or if someone knows us by the wrong name and we are more happy when someone knows and recognizes us by our name. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government stopped using the word India on official invitations, controversy occurred in India, leaving many to worry if will India renamed to be Bharat?

In place of the standard “President of India,” Draupadi Murmu has been referred to as “President of Bharat” in dinner invitations distributed on 5^th Sep to visitors attending this week’s G20 Summit conference.

If Indian government will renamed India to be Bharat than they require an amendment to the constitution which would need to be passed by a two-thirds majority in both houses of parliament. So what do you think ? Will India Renamed to be Bharat ?

WHAT IS THE OFFICIAL NAME OF THE COUNTRY?

“India” is the official name of country. The Constitution of  India uses the name “India” to refer to the republic, its ministries, internal and international correspondence and government statistics. This name is also used in all official documents of  India written in English. However, Bharat instead of India is written everywhere in the Hindi Constitution.

So they pronounce Hindu in place of Sindhu. He referred to the locals as Hindus, giving the nation of Hindus the name Hindustan. After that the British arrived in Hindustan but the British struggle to pronounce it. When the British learned that the civilization of ancient Bharat originated in the Sindhu Valley, also known as the Indus Valley and known in Greek as Indo or Indus and in  Latin tongue it became India. From here the name India became world famous.

1. Two and half thousand years ago, it has been mentioned in Vishnu Purana that India’s border extended from North Sea to the South of Himalaya.It is also written in Vishnu Purana that when King Rishav Dev went into exile, the kingdom was handed over to his elder son, whose name was Bharat. It is said that this country was named Bharat after Bharat.
2. It is also believed that in the Mahabharata, the country was named Bharat after Bharat, the son of King Dushyant of Hastinapur and his wife Sakuntala.
3. In ancient times, there was a Chakravarti emperor named Bharat who was considered to be the lord of all four directions. It is believed that India was named after him.
4. The most popular thing is that in Ramayana, the name Bharat was named after Bharat, the son of King Dasharatha and the younger brother of Lord Ram.
5. There is also a belief that this country was named after Bharatmuni, who is mentioned in the Natya Shastra.
